Domino 8.5.1 on OpenSUSE Parts 5A - 5D

QuickImage Category Show-n-Tell Thursday Technical Lotus Admin Linux

Happy SNTT! Here's the next set in my series of "how to" videos on Setting up Lotus Domino 8.5.1 on OpenSUSE 11.1 (64 bit) in VirtualBox 3.0.8 on Microsoft Windows 7 (64 bit). These are parts 5A - 5D, VirtualBox Guest Additions. VirtualBox Guest Additions are installed AFTER installing the Guest O/S -they allow for a nice, clean, tight integration between the Host and Guest O/S. Enjoy!

Comments

Gravatar Image1 - I loved openSUSE until version 11.1 (inclusive). With 11.2 the dropped cross-platform support, and I can't run it on my IBM PowerPC, PlayStation 3, and many other platforms anymore.

However, I'm not too sad about that, as I found out that Debian 5.0 runs Linux programs faster than openSUSE 11.2. Debian also has a much better cross-platform support than openSUSE ever had (Debian supports 12 platforms).

Gravatar Image2 - I'm actually planning on checking out Debian soon. Perhaps I'll put together a similar series for that as well.
